Yes. 

Many ferries are issued with Passenger Certificates for two, three or even four classes, allowing the ship to operate within different plying limits of sea or categorized waters under specified conditions (e. g. between specified dates and carrying stated maximum passenger and crew numbers). For example, two Scottish-based ferries were certificated by the MCA to carry 303 passengers and 11 crew when operating as Class III ships, 381 passengers and 9 crew as Class IV ships and 531 passengers and 10 crew as Class V ships. Only one certificate may be in use on any date.
