It indicates the latest date when cargo in smaller quantities will be grouped together, perhaps in one container or in more than one container but all the cargo is βconsolidatedβ into one shipment. Usually the term is used to indicate to shippers the latest date when they should despatch small quantities (βless than container loadsβ) to a carriersβ or freight forwardersβ facilities for stowing or βstuffingβ into containers.
